Biodiversity through Art

Artist Karen Webster, has started working with fifth and sixth class, exploring biodiversity through art. Today, we took advantage of the good weather to explore the wide variety of biodiversity in our garden. We used a quadrat to focus on a small section of the garden and then recorded what we observed. We then returned to the classroom to draw our observations.

Children of 2nd and 3rd class Mr Taaffe’s class, went out to the front garden with their teacher to harvest their scallions. They were very busy. Many children took some of the produce home and used it in their meals;in salads and with potatoes. Well done to everyone!
