2^nd Class had a great fun day on their school tour tour to Lough Key Forest park on Monday, 19^th June.The day was action packed;involving a boat trip out on Lough Key with Captain Oliver and his assistant,Danny;a lovely picnic by the lakeside;a walk through the tunnels ,which took the servants long ago to Rockingham House;a climb to the top of Moylurg Tower;a tree canopy walk followed by ,fun and play in Adventure Kingdom play park. A big thank you to everyone who made the day a very happy and fun -filled day. And of course,we were so lucky to have wonderful sunshine!

We held a very successful Sports Day in the school in conjunction with Olympics 4 Schools. Thanks to the Board of Management and Parents’ Association for their assistance.

Our Parents’ Association recently received a letter of acknowledgement for the 490 euro raised for the National Childrens’ Hospital. Thanks to everyone who helped out in any way.
Pancake Letter of Thanks

Pictured are Eoghan and Mae who were winners in the ‘Write a Short Story’ competition organised by Carrick Education Centre. They were presented with their awards at a special ceremony in the Landmark Hotel yesterday.  Their stories were also published in an anthology of writing. 

Congratulations also to  Ella Foley, Katherine McBride and Anna Quinn who were highly commended for their stories.

Active Schools Week finished up today with a wonderful display of Irish Dancing. A big thank you to all the dancers and particularly Julianna for putting the performance together.
