Best of luck to all our pupils and staff who are participating in the local Fun Run in the Park organised by Leitrim Sports Partnership tomorrow at 10.30 am. Please ensure that your child is in full school tracksuit, they may wear shorts underneath if they wish and if they make sure to bring a good drink of water. Parents are very welcome to come and join in on what will be an exciting morning. Feel free to join in on the run or to cheer everyone on. Best of luck gach duine!

Excitement is reaching fever-pitch at Scoil Náisiúnta Droim Lias with World Cup Russia kicking off this week. To celebrate, we made football players from clay. We began by using used Twistables and other old stationery destined for the bin to make our structure for our footballers. We then covered this structure with clay and shaped it to suit our design. We let our clay creations dry over the weekend before painting them. We finally used PVA glue to seal the clay but unfortunately many of our footballers suffered career-ending injuries and have begun to crumble. We will fire the clay in a kiln in future to help reduce the chance of crumbling.
